Bluegum or black wattle?
Our firewood is bluegum or black wattle. Both cost R1,150 a load. Bluegum gives a steady heat. Black wattle works well in a fireplace and on the braai, so it suits households that do both.
Rooikrans is sold as braai wood. See braai wood.
Seasoned or fresh
From November to April we deliver seasoned wood. From May to October the wood is fresh and needs time to dry before it burns well. How to tell the difference and store your wood.
