Privacy notice
This notice explains what we do with the details you give us when you order firewood, and how you can ask us to see, correct or delete them.
Who we are
The Original Firewood Delivery Company is a trading name of Rhode Heating and Cooling (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/206903/07. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect
- Your order: wood type, packing, number of loads, add-ons, what you will use the wood for, and your preferred delivery day.
- Your details: name, mobile number, delivery address and suburb, email address if you give one, and any notes for the driver.
- Payment: the payment method you choose and whether we have received payment. You pay by EFT from your own bank, so we do not receive your card or bank login details.
- If you ask for a chimney sweeping callback: your consent, the wording you agreed to, the date, and whether you prefer a telephone call or WhatsApp.
We collect this only from what you type into our order form, or what you tell us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Why we use it
- To process your order, match your EFT payment and deliver your firewood.
- To contact you about your order and confirm your delivery day.
- To keep the business records the law requires.
Your answer to "What will you use the wood for?" helps us supply the right wood. It is not consent to marketing.
Chimney sweeping callback
After some orders we offer an optional callback from Original Chimney Sweep, another service operated by Rhode Heating and Cooling (Pty) Ltd. We only pass your name, mobile number and suburb to Original Chimney Sweep if you tick the consent box and choose how you would like to be contacted. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing or WhatsApping us, and we will stop contacting you about it.
Who else handles your information
We do not sell your information. A few service providers handle it for us, only to run this website and our email:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores order records. Its servers are outside South Africa, so your information is stored and processed outside the country under Cloudflare's data protection terms.
- Register Domain SA hosts our email.
- Google supplies the font on this website, so your browser connects to Google's servers when a page loads.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries your messages if you choose to contact us there.
How long we keep it
- Order records: 5 years, then deleted.
- Chimney sweeping callback requests: deleted when you withdraw consent, or 12 months after your request if you have not booked a sweep.
How we protect it
This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Order records can only be opened by our staff with a password.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- stop contacting you about chimney sweeping.
